This old growth juniper woodland is one of the few untouched woodlands that we have found. It is located in the Massacre Lakes area of Northwestern Nevada, about seven miles north of Nevada route 8A.

Many of the trees have multiple trunks with squat rounded structure. There are also single stemmed trees that tend to be more upright. A very interesting untouched old juniper woodland.

The measuring stick has six inch increments.
