There were many untouched old growth juniper communities within the Antelope Plains Juniper Removal Project before project implementation by the Modoc National Forest. This gallery of images shows just a few of the very old juniper the MNF cut down. This project was supposed to leave all old growth juniper standing while removing young juniper and improving habitat for sage grouse.
